Trevino asks, "Are Hippies sacred? Should Indians be thankful that they have such respectful friends?" Trevino has lost a possible paying gig because of the poem: To Kill A Dirty Hippie. It was understandable that the promoter gave fair warning of the possible dislike that Trevino might have toward the event. As a reader, listener, or consumer, don't confuse the art with the artist. What Trevino writes might not be who he is. The paying gig that Trevino was denied was The Oregon Country Fair.
